Trinity, one of the three mission centres that make up Portsmouth Methodist Church, invites you to 'Come and See'; you will be welcomed at any of our 'events'. Our community includes all those many people from the local area who use the centre facilities as well as those who are seeking a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Christ and come to Sunday worship or other groups during the week.
We have a beautiful buildin, opened in 1901, in an early twentieth century traditional Methodist style. Many holiday visitors return to worship with us from year to year, joining our diverse congregation which is drawn from all over Portsmouth. We aim to maintain a balance of traditional Methodist and more contemporary styles of worship. Trinity has a long standing tradition of friendship and offers a hospitable welcome to all who wish to worship with us.
We currently run a small “Trinity Juniors” alongside the 10.30 Sunday service. The second Sunday of every month is an all-age worship.
We’re happy to be able to host so many community groups and it is just one way we aspire to live up to the words of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who urged us to “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
The chapel is also available for weddings and baptisms. Please contact me on 02392731858 or by email at Minister
We look forward to meeting you
